ACCOLADES, "THEATER PEOPLE" SEASON FOUR
The fourth season of local Minneapolis comedy web series "Theater People" has had episodes screened at festivals across the state, country, and world.
Premiering at the Duluth Superior Film Festival back in early June, "Theater People" played at UK Web Fest in London in October, and, most recently, at NYC Web Fest on November 10th.
In addition to being screened as one of the 90 series from across the globe selected for the festival, "Theater People" was nominated for two awards: Best Supporting Actor (Paul LaNave) & Best Supporting Actress (Sara Marsh). For a complete list of nominees, visit here.
At the awards ceremony on November 11th, Paul was awarded by the jury as the Best Supporting Actor of the festival for his work as Danilo.
In addition, Percell Dugger of Huffington Post was in attendance at the three days of screenings, culminating in a piece he wrote about why the New York based festival is a must attend event for independent creators, national and international. In his write-up, Dugger also mentioned "Theater People," as well as Paul's performance, as quality stand outs, saying,
"The end result is a three day festival full of the most compelling content from around the world. Standouts like the The Feels (Winner of Best Web Series), Frank And Lamar (Winner: Best Dynamic Duo and nominated for Best Comedy) and performances like that of Best Supporting Actor winner: Paul LaNave in Theater People and Best Director Winner: Holly Chadwick, may not be household names just yet, but they most certainly will be soon."
